Yolanda Tapia, piano
Yolanda Tapia is an international prize-winning piano soloist and a highly sought-after collaborative pianist. A native of Xalapa, Mexico, she has performed concertos with Xalapa Symphony Orchestra and Colorado State University Symphony Orchestra and performed at international chamber music festivals such as the Académie Musicale de Morges in Switzerland, Orvieto Musica in Italy, San Miguel de Allende Chamber Music Festival, Aguas Calientes Chamber Music Festival in Mexico and Bowdoin International Music Festival in the US.
Yolanda holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Western University and was a Fulbright Scholar during 2012-14. She has a Master of Music in collaborative piano from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from the Universiy of Veracruz. Her mentors include John Hess, Margaret McDonald, Alexandra Nguyen and Mitsumi Moteki.
