Canadian brass performers Aaron Hodgson and Stephen Ivany join Mexican pianist Yolanda Tapia to form the Carnyx Trio, a dynamic chamber ensemble featuring trumpet, trombone and piano. Their repertoire includes virtuosic showpieces alongside newly-commissioned works from some of today’s most intriguing emerging composers.
The Carnyx Trio has toured across the southern United States, including performances at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Florida State University, Columbus State University and Troy University. Upcoming tours include tours of Ontario, Colombia and Ecuador.
All three members of the Carnyx Trio are committed educators working at leading faculties of music, and their activities regularly include workshops, masterclasses and other teaching.
